Dr. Gina Gates
I grew up in Durango, CO, and my academic journey in the field of hearing sciences began at the University of Colorado at Boulder, where I earned my bachelor's degree in Speech Language Hearing Sciences. I continued my education at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco, CA, earning my doctorate of Audiology.
Choosing a career in hearing care and tinnitus management was a decision driven by my desire to improve people’s quality of life. Early in my career, I realized the significant number of individuals dealing with tinnitus and how many feel underserved.
It was truly a joy to become part of Sound Relief, a place where patients receive exceptional care characterized by compassion, personalized attention, the latest technologies, and best practices. I am grateful to be a part of a team that genuinely makes a difference in patients' lives.
In my day-to-day role, I work primarily with adult patients experiencing hearing loss, tinnitus, hyperacusis, and misophonia. My clinical services include comprehensive audiologic evaluations, tinnitus assessments, tinnitus management/tinnitus retraining therapy, hearing aid dispensing, hearing aid servicing, and cerumen management.
One of the greatest joys of my work is helping people make meaningful changes through better hearing. Whether I’m facilitating reconnections with loved ones, helping patients discover new sounds, or giving relief from tinnitus, every experience is unique and rewarding.
Outside the office, I love spending my free time outdoors, hiking with my two Labradors, Poppy and Daisy. I also enjoy gardening, making floral arrangements, playing tennis, reading, and experimenting with new recipes. Most importantly, I cherish quality time with my husband and son.
