Dr. Kelsey Harris
I grew up part of a big family with 10 siblings in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. I pursued my education at the University of Northern Colorado, where I earned both my bachelor's and doctoral degrees in audiology.
My journey into the world of hearing care began with a belief that communication is the key to connection. Coming from a large family, I recognized early on how crucial it is to feel heard and understood, which has guided me throughout my professional path.
Joining Sound Relief as a Patient Care Coordinator was a turning point for me. I witnessed firsthand the profound impact hearing health, particularly tinnitus, can have on emotional well-being and relationships. This realization sparked a desire in me to do more and led me to become an Audiology Assistant while completing my doctorate.
Here, I found a place that resonated with my values—empathy, innovation, and a steadfast commitment to improving lives. Care transcends diagnostics, as we prioritize understanding each patient's unique experience.
Being part of somewhere with such a holistic, patient-centered approach, where the team feels more like a family, truly makes a difference.
In my role, I handle comprehensive evaluations and management of various auditory conditions, from hearing loss to tinnitus. Day to day, I conduct thorough audiological assessments and craft individualized, evidence-based treatment plans. I’m also deeply engaged in professional collaboration and continuous education to keep abreast of the latest innovations and research in our field.
What I love most about my work is the ability to restore hope to patients, especially those who’ve been told there are no solutions. It's incredibly fulfilling to blend clinical expertise with empathy, addressing both the physical and emotional facets of audiological conditions. The rapid advancements in our field excite me, as they allow me to bring new innovations to enhance patient outcomes.
When I'm not at the clinic, I cherish spending time outdoors paddleboarding, hiking, and camping. Reading and traveling also bring me joy, but my heart truly smiles during moments spent with my family, our two lively Great Danes, Roux and Brie, and my charming parakeet, Birdinand Magellan.
