Dr. Madison Brown

I was raised on a farm in a small town near Preston in southern Idaho. My academic journey took me to Logan, Utah, where I spent a decade and welcomed my two children. I earned both my undergraduate and graduate degrees from Utah State University. Despite my love for the picturesque mountains, I was eager to embrace the warm, sunny vibes of Arizona.

Audiology wasn’t initially on my career radar until a chance meeting with the academic counselor of the Speech and Hearing Department at Utah State captivated me. The department’s culture inspired me to embark on this rewarding path.

Throughout my education, I learned first-hand about the brain’s incredible neuroplasticity when I personally overcame a chronic illness. This belief that changing your brain can change your life led me to Sound Relief, where we harness the power of brain retraining to provide relief to those with tinnitus.

In my role, I engage in follow-up care and educational counseling, sharing my knowledge, resources, and expertise with patients. My day-to-day activities include conducting hearing and tinnitus evaluations, thorough case history reviews and audiological testing and delivering tailored recommendations. I utilize various technologies to deliver precise test results, fit devices, and ensure optimal programming adjustments for our clients.

One of the most fulfilling parts of my job is meeting new patients and understanding their unique needs from a holistic perspective to provide individualized care. I find immense satisfaction in contributing to each patient’s journey, especially through tinnitus retraining therapy, a process I have personally experienced. It's inspiring to witness the positive changes that impact not only hearing health but every facet of life.

Outside the office, my family is my greatest joy. I spend quality time with my wonderful partner, Tyler, and our kids, Gavin and Gracie, enjoying the Arizona sunshine. Whether it's golfing, lounging by the pool, or taking long walks, I love being active outdoors.

I also enjoy sharing meals out and watching sports games. At home, our family game nights and Mario Kart battles are delightfully competitive—fun is always taken seriously in our household!

Just For Fun

If you could have dinner with one person, who would you choose?

My kids in 20 years. I’d love to sit down with them as adults, hear what kind of people they’ve become, and find out what they remember most from our time together. It would be amazing to see where their passions have taken them and the lessons they’ve learned along the way.
