Layla Fotouhi

I was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, but my roots are in Brown Deer, where I went to school from elementary through high school.

My journey into the world of hearing care has been nothing short of transformative. I initially knew very little about tinnitus or hearing, but joining Sound Relief changed that. The approach taken by Dr. Julie was unlike anything I’d ever seen, and the company exhibits a family-like atmosphere that’s rare in the working world. From the beginning, it was clear to me that I was part of something truly special.

In my role, I help manage our Arizona offices, support our PCCs, assist our providers clinically, and ensure everything runs smoothly—from scheduling to patient care. I love that no two days are the same and that I'm involved in many aspects of our work.

What I love most about working here is that everything we do is genuinely centered around the patient. It’s not just about hearing; it’s about making people feel cared for. I feel incredibly fortunate to work somewhere that embodies this philosophy. The relationships I’ve built with both the team and our patients make this place feel like family, and over time, our patients begin to feel that way too. I'm continuously learning and feel proud to be part of the amazing care our providers deliver each day.

When I'm not at work, you can usually find me outdoors soaking up the sun. I enjoy hiking with my dog, Paris, relaxing by the pool, or browsing through a farmers’ market. I also love trying out new pescatarian recipes and discovering great local spots to eat.

If you could have dinner with one person, who would you choose?

My Oma. She wasn’t related to me, but that’s what she wanted me to call her from the start. She was our neighbor and became like family. She taught me so much when I was little. I’d love to have one more dinner with her, watch her cook one of her amazing German meals, and just be around her again.
