Every year, we help thousands of people hear clearly again. But for every person
who walks through our doors, there's someone else living with the same isolation,
the same exhaustion of straining to follow a conversation, or the same distressing
tinnitus, who simply can't afford to do anything about it.
The Sound Relief Project exists to close that gap. Donated hearing aids and/or
tinnitus sound generators are refurbished by our team and given to someone in
our community who needs them but couldn’t otherwise afford them.

For more than two decades, I've dedicated my career to helping people hear
better and find relief from tinnitus. Along the way, there's one message I've
shared with thousands of patients:
You don't have to live like this.
You don't have to accept the isolation that comes with hearing loss. You don't
have to "just live with" tinnitus. You don't have to keep smiling and nodding
through conversations you can't fully hear, or carry the daily exhaustion of
pretending you caught what someone said.
But over the years, I've also sat across from people who desperately wanted help
and still couldn't move forward with treatment. Not because they didn't care, and
not because they didn't understand what they were missing, but because the cost was simply more than they could manage.
There are few things more heartbreaking than telling someone you know you can
help, only to watch them leave because that help is financially out of reach.
That's why we created The Sound Relief Project.
It's our way of making sure that when we say, "You don't have to live like this,"
we truly mean it, for everyone who walks through our doors, not just those who
can comfortably afford treatment.

Complete a full hearing evaluation with a Sound Relief audiologist to confirm candidacy and the most appropriate solution match.
Share your story. We ask each applicant to submit a brief personal statement describing how hearing loss, tinnitus, or sound sensitivity affects daily life and why receiving care would make a meaningful difference.
